Medically Oriented Fitness Program A Medically Oriented Fitness Program is designed to work around an individual’s specific health concerns to make the benefits of exercise available to everyone. Exercise helps to maintain and build bones and muscle mass, improve circulation and strengthen the heart, manage stress, prevent disease and boost energy. Yet, many individuals avoid exercise because of pre-existing conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity or cancer. At Central Penn, our team of licensed physical therapists and specialized trainers work with each individual, tailoring a medically oriented fitness program to their health needs and fitness levels. We can customize any program to suit any disability or restriction a person may have. Our experienced staff will help give you the confidence “to give it your all” in a non-intimidating, supportive environment.
Central Penn offers:
Health and Wellness Programs tailored to older adults or community members who would like to improve their health and well-being.
Post Rehab Fitness Programs designed for patients who have completed their physical therapy program and would like to progress into a wellness program and still have access to the appropriate equipment.
Cardiac Rehab Phase IV is referred to as the maintenance phase that emphasizes long term lifestyle changes including stretching, strengthening, and aerobic exercises specific to your individual needs.
